Clear Spring Property and Casualty Company recognizes that many of our valued customers may be experiencing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we are taking the following actions to address the needs of our policyholders during these challenging times:
- If a workers compensation policyholder temporarily suspends business operations, Clear Spring will agree to terminate the policy at the insured's request without charging a short rate penalty. When the business re-starts, Clear Spring will renew the policy at the same rate initially applied unless there has been an intervening change in state approved rates.
- If a workers compensation policyholder paying premium monthly temporarily downsizes, upon request, we will revise the premium charged based on the actual payroll reporting, so long as the policyholder complies with Clear Spring's monthly self-audit requirements.
- Clear Spring will, of course, adhere to all orders of state regulators affecting the timing and process of cancelation of policies for non-payment of premium.
Clear Spring is committed to providing the highest level of service to our agents, brokers, and policyholders, regardless of circumstances. Clear Spring is continuing its business operations during the pandemic and our personnel will be available to address your needs. We will continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic on our policyholders and adjust our procedures as necessary.
